Jack Groot, a serial entrepreneur, is the creator of JP's Coffee & Espresso Bar, Rubyjuice Fruit and Smoothies, On Track Coffee Consulting and the Midwest Barista School (MBS). Jack also went on to franchise the Rubyjuice concept before selling it to Cutting Edge Foods, based out of Nashville TN.
Jack's experience in creating and operating businesses, combined with his passion to help others do the same, has helped hundreds of clients create and open their own business or improve existing operations. Mr. Groot has also created numerous training and operational products for the retail coffee industry and is a monthly columnist for the coffee industry's premier trade publication, Specialty Coffee Retailer.
On Track Coffee Consulting, a division of MBS, has assisted independent coffee shops, retail chains and multiple foodservice operators create, open or improve operations, develop and run corporate training classes, assist with strategic development and enhance coffee operations.
Jack lives in Hudsonville MI with his wife Tracy an award-winning author, their 3 sons and a manipulative Jack Russell Terrier. He enjoys travel, chess, backpacking and spending time with his friends.
